Parent–Adult Child Estrangement
This is a particular focus of my practice. I help parents whose adult children have become distant, greatly reduced contact, or ended contact altogether.
We may work on:
understanding how the rupture developed;
deciding when to reach out and when to give space;
hearing difficult feedback without immediately becoming defensive;
identifying genuine opportunities for apology or repair;
communicating more effectively;
establishing healthy boundaries; and
coping with grief and uncertainty when reconciliation is not currently possible.
No therapist can promise reconciliation. We can, however, work toward greater understanding and create the best possible conditions for a healthier relationship.
Couples & Family Therapy
I also work with couples, siblings, and families experiencing recurring conflict, emotional distance, difficult transitions, or communication that repeatedly breaks down.
Individual Relationship Therapy
The other person does not have to attend therapy for meaningful change to occur. Individual sessions can help you understand relationship patterns, prepare for difficult conversations, and respond differently yourself.
